Description Quentinv57 2011-05-06 20:40:07 UTC
Hello,

Please use a new status, named "botadmin", on frwiktionary, with the following rights :
autopatrol, autoconfirmed, suppressredirect, nominornewtalk, noratelimit, skipcaptcha, apihighlimits, writeapi, bot, createaccount, import, patrol, protect, editusercss, edituserjs, editinterface, browsearchive, movefile, move, move-rootuserpages, undelete, rollback, delete, deleterevision, reupload

Users in group "botadmin" should be able to remove this status "botadmin" from themselves once the task is finished.

Thanks by advance

Who should be able to add/remove this group?
Comment 2 JackPotte 2011-05-06 21:35:25 UTC
The bureaucrats after a vote.
Comment 3 Quentinv57 2011-05-07 13:51:25 UTC
Yes, please add the right of adding and removing the status "botadmin" to bureaucrats (same as the status "bot").

Thanks.

Allowing themselves to remove their botadmin flag means they can also remove it from other users.

Please confirm that this is the wanted behavior.

Also: Please do not just assign bugs to me. I am not the only person who does bugs, so usually hexmode (Mark H) will triage them out to folks. If anyone is not sure, touch base with him =]

No, see $wgGroupsRemoveFromSelf.

$wgGroupsRemoveFromSelf['botadmin'] = array( 'botadmin' );

Hello RobH.

Sorry for reporting site requests to you by default, I thought I sould act like that.

No, I don't really want botadmin to be able to manage botadmin status... I was thinking of the solution proposed on comment #5. I just want users having the botadmin account to have the possibility of removing their access by themselves without disturbing a 'crat, or worse, a steward.

Thanks by advance.
