With the introduction of foreign repositories for files come the need to tell files from the wiki from files used from remote places.
This should be aided by a listing of files being used from a remote or shared repository. Code for the spacial page is almost there, see bug 6220, or for example
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:WantedFiles
where only missing files need to be suppressed from the listing and the strikout
attribute be taken away from blue links.
