Description Jon Weers 2011-05-03 20:19:46 UTC
A simple ask query on our site is producing a list of results in which one of the results appears twice.

I have verified that both appearances of this item link to a single article/entity. I have also replicated this behavior in isolation on a test page i created here:

http://en.openei.org/wiki/User:Jweers/Sandbox/Duplicate_Results

The query in question is fairly simple and should be producing a distinct list of unique results:

{{#ask:[[Category:Programs]] [[ProgramTopics::Low-carbon plans/TNAs/NAMAs]]
|format=ul
|limit=1000
}}

After consulting the Semediawiki User's group, it was suggested that i add this as a bug here. Any feedback or insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jon

Additional Info:
A member of my team noticed that there are duplicate entries for this record in the smw_ids table. I suspect this may have something to do with the duplicate results returned by the ask query. If this is the case, and the solution involves deleting one of the duplicate entries, how do we know which one to remove? Please advise. Thanks!

Due to content changes in our wiki, the example above now works properly.
I do not know if the bug has been resolved or not.

Thanks for reporting :)

You can rebuild your semantic data. See SemanticMediaWiki/maintenance/SMW_refreshData.php. If after that you still have duplicates, there is a bug somwehere, in which case you should reopen this bug.

Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
