Description Leinad 2011-05-02 19:35:09 UTC
[copied from bug28773, but for checkuser wiki]

Please:
* Change the site name (wgSitename) from "Checkuser" to "CheckUser Wiki".
* Change the "Wikipedia" and "Wikipedia talk" namespaces to "Project" and
"Project talk" respectivelly.
* Set the project's default language to "English" -- at Special:Preferences
there's a strange "checkuser" language (please remove that too).
* Give bureaucrats ability to add and remove user rights.

It's been agreed that bureaucrats should only be able to add and remove all user rights from all accounts **except** 'checkuser', 'steward' and 'oversight'.

Now further changes:

1. The autoconfirmed user group is redundant because all registered users already have all rights that autoconfirmed users have. Should be removed I think.

2. The confirmed user group is useless for the same reasons stated above.

3. The account creator user group is useless because only bureaucrats should be able to create new accounts.

4. Please remove the 'createaccount' rights from administrators and give them to bureaucrats only.

And that's all for now I think.

Regards.

The 'createaccount' right is set to all users according to the local special:listgrouprights page. Please set it only for bureaucrats, please. Thank you.

UserRights fix needed too: a bureaucrat should be able to add and remove the bureaucrat userright from all accounts too. Currently set to be granted but not revocked by bureaucrats. Regards.

This is actually EXTREMELY important and needs to get fixed NOW. This is new (it didn't exist before the update must have accidentally been introduced)
Comment 5 MA 2011-06-21 01:23:04 UTC
Aditional fix (sorry for spamming) - the inactive user group dissapeared. Please restore it. Thank you.
Comment 6 Chad H. 2011-06-21 01:57:49 UTC
Reverted back to how things were before the changes took place.
Comment 7 Priyanka Dhanda 2011-06-28 21:16:48 UTC
This time without breaking things.
