Description Philippe Beaudette 2011-05-02 19:32:55 UTC
Checkuser.wikimedia.org will sometimes (on attempting to save a page) forward to the Foundation wiki. This is sub-optimal. :)
Comment 1 Casey Brown 2011-05-02 22:02:28 UTC
I think this is just local caching, which should go away eventually, but I could be wrong.
Comment 2 Philippe Beaudette 2011-05-03 21:42:51 UTC
It's not local. It's happening to people all over the world, on everything from their first visit to many edits later.
Comment 3 Platonides 2011-05-03 21:47:45 UTC
That could be a server for which the configuration wasn't properly synced.
Comment 4 Philippe Beaudette 2011-05-03 21:49:29 UTC
Yeah, that's what I've been told several times by Ops, and also that they resync'd everything... but obviously, it's still an issue. Hence the ticket.

Philippe navigated thru the site and noticed on some occasions, when he used the side navigation links, some of the links took him out of checkuser.wmf.org even though the url shown (when the cursor hovered over it) is correct (checkuser.wmf.org/whatever ).

This happened to me when I tested it as well, once.

RobH confirmed Roan has sync'd the caches recently and should have addressed this issue.
Alternatively, it could be the browser cache creating the problem.
Will followup with Philippe on this browser cache.
Comment 6 Philippe Beaudette 2011-06-03 00:47:00 UTC
This appears to be fixed. Closing.
