Description Jon Phillips 2011-04-22 04:19:14 UTC
need to find a list of top cited papers in any of the disciplines (economics, sociology, business, etc.) and then prioritize making summaries and best listing them on the acawiki wiki.

There is no comprehensive, up-to-date, cross-disciplinary, open-source list of the top cited research papers from peer-reviewed journals.

It would be an interesting exercise to devise such a list by mining search queries from Google Scholar, which return the number of citations for each result.

We could grow our own list organically by sending out a brief survey (which could also serve as a subtle announcement/advertisement for AcaWiki).

We could also rely on a list of most-cited authors, which is a little easier to come by.

Below I have included some possible reference material:

Here are the top 20 domains from acawiki. We need a page to list the top 5 paper targets for each domain, and then start assigning them!

What should that page be?

Anthropology
Arts and Literarure
Astronomy
Biology
Business
Chemistry
Clinical Research
Computer Science
Economics
Education
Engineering
Geosciences
Health
Mathematics
Medicine
Neuroscience
Philosophy
Physics
Psychology
Sociology
