In Internet Explorer 9, the link suggestion box is placed *below* the textarea, so that it covers the copyright notice and save/preview/show changes buttons. This is far from the intended behavior.

No, it's a separate extension, although similar in functionality, but still not quite the same.

Hi Jack. I've refactored the way it gets the caret position and it now should be working on IE.

The latest version is on git: https://github.com/ciencia/jquery.mw.linksuggest

The JS of this extension doesn't seem to be touched from the SVN, so it may be imported directly (on GIT the version 1.1.0 should be the one I passed to Jack for him to commit on Wikimedia SVN)
