The Wikipedia portal, which is maintained at [[m:Www.wikipedia.org template]],
no longer shows the updated version. The portal-test tool
(http://portal-test.mediawiki.org/extract2.php?template=Www.wikipedia.org_template/temp
), used to preview proposed portal changes, has also stopped using the most
recent version at [[m:Www.wikipedia.org template/temp]].

This issue seems to have cropped up within the past week.

Main portal seems to be fixed: I updated extract2.php to include the 
1.5 code so it's no longer pulling from the obsolete 1.4 database.

portal-test however seems to crap out and returns a blank page, I'm 
not sure why. Still working on it.

Got it, there was a configuration difference on that server which caused an extension load to fail in the configuration.
