Description Mormegil 2005-07-12 07:30:44 UTC
After the recent modification of Special:Disambiguations, there are some unresolved issues:
1. The relevant interface strings in the Language.php file(s) should be updated, esp. the Disambiguationstext should be the other way around.
2. Redirects should be either left out from the list, or (maybe a better idea) marked as such. Redirects to disambig pages are often intentional, e.g. for alternative spelling or punctuation (consider e.g. en:AmericA, cs:B.S.P.)
Comment 1 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2005-07-12 07:32:16 UTC
will have a look :)
Comment 2 Mormegil 2005-07-12 07:50:21 UTC
One more idea: only pages in the main namespace should be considered disambiguation pages.
E.g. every disambig page links to Wikipedia:Disambiguation, which is also marked as a disambig
page because it contains the Disambig as an example, so that every disambig page is in the list.

For that last comment, change MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage
so it contains:
template:disambiguation
instead of
wikipedia:disambiguation

I guess I have not expressed clearly. I did change that. On cs:, the Template:Disambiguation (actually,
cs:Šablona:Rozcestník) contains an explicit _link_ to cs:Wikipedie:Rozcestníky. But,
cs:Wikipedie:Rozcestníky contains (serving as an example), so that every disambiguation
page contains a link to a page marked as disambiguation.

Huh... still a bit unclear, isn't it? Take a look at cs:Template:Disambig, cs:Wikipedie:Rozcestníky
and their respective What links here, it might make more sense (and maybe not).

(Anyway, I do believe that only pages in the main namespace should be considered disambiguation pages.)

This bug is still open? Special:Disambiguations is really messy. The (Edit) link should not be capitalised and the brackets should be outside the link.

Adding 'tracking' keyword.

Unassigning myself since I am currently busy in the networking world.
