Description Sam Reed (reedy) 2011-02-26 00:18:53 UTC
Per a discussion on IRC, it'd be useful for people if they could download a parity file to try and fix broken downloads

PAR2 maybe?

That address seems to be irrelevant now. par2 debian package exists but last upload is 4 years ago. http://packages.debian.org/par2 may link to a more recent URL for the project homepage but even that page says it's unmaintained.

The par2 website looks to have changed its contents a lot...

Usenet still uses PAR, and Wikipedia lists numerous pieces of software that implement it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parchive#Software
