In newer LuceneSearch there are something like http://lucene.apache.org/java/3_0_2/api/contrib-smartcn/org/apache/lucene/analysis/cn/smart/SmartChineseAnalyzer.html which can make search results better.

Not sure if full update would make sense because we used a slightly patched version of Lucene 2.4. We would also need some testing to see if the performance (of how we use lucene libraries) is unaffected by the upgrade. However, copying some of the new analyzers and testing them would be a good idea.

We won't be updating lucene further, lsearchd has reached end of life.
