Try to search for

  Varian's War - Ein vergessener Held
or
  "Varian's War - Ein vergessener Held"

on dewiki. Nothing found even though the title http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varian%E2%80%99s_War_%E2%80%93_Ein_vergessener_Held exists.

Funny side effect: The search returns

   Did you mean: Varian's War – - Ein vergessener Held

Clicking on that link return:

  Ähnlicher Begriff: Varian's War – – - Ein vergessener Held

and so on ;-)

– is not the same as -, but something fancy is (not?) going on here.

extensions should be fixed, but they shouldn't block deployment

Note, when I search for Varian’s War – Ein vergessener Held (with an em-dash) everything works fine, so I think this has to do with minus having special meaning to the search engine to mean don't search for the next term (Combined with the search suggestion thingy giving a stupid suggestion)

I could not reproduce this, both Raimond Spekking and Bawolff's queries seem to work right now.
