See, for example, [[User:Dbenbenn/sandbox2]], which consists of #redirect [[Commons:Main Page]] The result is the English [[Main Page]], with the title "Commons:Main Page".
Interwiki redirects have been enabled and disabled at various times, due to vandalism and technical issues. Currently, that redirect does nothing at all.

Thanks Rowan for the comment! The actual intended configuration at MediaWiki Foundation project is to disable these links. The problem of circular redirects is addressed at Bug 850: Circular redirects not caught between wikis There is a note about "faking interwiki / interlanguage links" to meta (but these are *no* redirects). All projects will allow "faked" interlanguage links trough the "meta:" prefix. See some new examples at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Gangleri/tests/bugzilla/00850/note_c8 I amnot sure if the resolution for this bug / report is FIXED / WONTFIXED or INVALID. From the perspecive of a general non Wikimedia Foundation wiki this feature could be enabeled (despite the fact that it is a rsecurity whole allowing infinite loops). If this (enable / disable multiproject redirects) is configurable please let some lines about the involved variables etc. Thanks in advance! best regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
