Description Purodha Blissenbach 2011-01-21 14:44:22 UTC
The "edit" in messages Livetranslate-dictionary-empty and
Livetranslate-dictionary-count should be using {{int:...}}

I could not figure out the key for it.
Maybe, it's {{int:edit}} but that would mean to reuse messages which is
discouraged as of http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Localisation#Avoid_message_reuse

So you are saying that the message should reuse an existing message, but at the same time not reuse any existing messages? ...

Either way, I don't really care, but feel free to fix it yourself.

Yes :-) both

Using one message at several, rather unrelated places is often a bad idea because translations in different contexts may differ in some languages, at least.

This is different, when referring to a text like a button label in another message. "press the 'Ok' button, please" may be worse than "press the '{{int:okbuttonlabel}}' button, please" since in the latter variant, you have to define the text "Ok" only once, and when someone happens to alter it - which may happen locally, once a wiki is installed - the "press ..." message does not get out of sync.

Ah right. I'll take care of this for the next release, and keep it in mind for when I write new stuff. Thanks for pointing out :)

Ah, but the embedded text here indeed points to the core edit message, so nothing should be changed.
