(I'm a novice. This might be a WikiPedia problem rather than a WikiMedia problem.) On "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3" Using "Firefox version 3.6.13" or "Internet Explorer 8 version 8.0.6001.18702 Browse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Web_Accelerator Scroll down to the bottom. To the right of "Google Inc.", click [show] Most of the info labels shown are links to WikiPedia articles. BUT next to "Discontinued", "Web Accelerator" is NOT a link! It's just <strong> text Click on the "e" to the left of "Google Inc." (of "v·d·e") to edit the Template. Don't make any edits! Scroll down and click the "Show Preview" button. Click "[show]" on the Preview page The "Web Accelerator" label is now a working link! This means... the Preview correctly processes the source, but the Topic view does not? The template source for this intended link is: Web Accelerator which looks just like the links that work, for example: Page Creator The same problem exists on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki_markup In the Wiki topics transclusion Labels: Software · Wikitext · Interwiki links Are they links: Yes No Yes the source for this is |group2 = Components |list2 = Software Wikitext Interwiki links and again the source for the non-link looks just like the source for the links next to it. Actions to see: Go to WikiPedia Search for: Google Web Accelerator Scroll to bottom Click [show] Click e Scroll to bottom Click Show Preview Click [show]
This is not a bug but the intended behaviour. A link to the currently viewed article is always a bolden title instead of an anchor tag. See also http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Sandbox&oldid=408808233 And the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?action=edit&oldid=408808233
