Description Gerard Meijsssen 2005-07-02 08:18:15 UTC
When a soundfile like Nl-Kaapse pelsrob.ogg is uploaded, the destination
filename is automagically changed to Nl-Kaapse_pelsrob.ogg. This however does
not work properly when you are repeatedly uploading files. Consequently you
enter Nl-Kaapse pelsrob.ogg. It seems to work, the file is there when you
connect it to an article like http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Kaapse_pelsrob.

The error is: internal error -
Bestand
"/mnt/wikipedia/htdocs/commons/upload/temp/b/b4/20050702081043!Nl-Kaapse_pelsrob.ogg"
naar "/mnt/wikipedia/htdocs/commons/upload/b/b4/Nl-Kaapse_pelsrob.ogg" kopiëren
niet mogelijk.

The bug referred to is 2527
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2005-08-21 22:56:11 UTC
An internal error in renaming files is definitely not bug 2527.

Can you clarify the case for reproducing this?
Comment 3 Gerard Meijsssen 2005-08-22 11:21:34 UTC
As the content of the "Destination file name:" is now updated every time, this
is no longer an issue.
Comment 4 Brion Vibber 2005-08-22 20:37:40 UTC
The 'Destination file name' box should not ever have anything to do with internal errors
renaming files, ever. Can you still reproduce this problem if you manually set it?
Comment 5 Brion Vibber 2008-12-23 17:09:40 UTC
Assuming no longer an issue (rename error sounds like some temporary server config glitch)
