The L10nupdate extension doesn't seem to be updating the Vector extension translations (previously, Usability Initiative). I recently translated some of the Vector messages for Volapük (vo) at Translatewiki.net and it got commited to SVN right on that day: r1=78229&r2=78274">http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/extensions/Vector/Vector.i18n.php?r1=78229&r2=78274 As of today (11 days later), vo.wiktionary and vo.wikipedia are still showing the default English message in the search box. A query at #wikimedia-tech and after some investigation on devs side, they found out that file "Vector.i18n.php" is not being updated by the L10nupdate extension because the file moved in trunk regarding its original place in the branch.

There is nothing we can do here. The issue should go away when WMF is updated again.
The LocalisationUpdate (LU) extension will synchronise translations for all messages in Subversion that are equal to those in the installation LU is running in. Obviously, the older an installation is, the more out of sync it will be with trunk in Subversion. As Wikimedia has not updated it's base code since March 2010 and the UsabilityInitiative extensions have been moved to the top level in the extensions folder, the messages from those extensions are not updated to Wikimedia wikis at the moment.
