Hi,
We plane to distribute the french wikizine (called "Wikimag" : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipédia:Wikimag ) by mail.

Can we apply for a new specific mailing list at wikimedia ?

Some extra information:

a. This weekly magazine is an initiative like the Wikipedia Signpost

b. The mailing list goal will be newsletter distribution

c. I added in the bug URL field the page were the matter were discussed and a consensus got.

Hmmm.  Taking the mailing list naming guidelines <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mailing_lists/Standardization> into consideration, what do we think this list should be named?

wikimag@?  wikipedia-fr-wikimag?  wikipedia-fr-mag?  wikimag-fr?  Something different?

Since the list will be specific to french wikipedians, I think "wikipedia-fr-wikimag" is the better one.
