Description Kevin J Morgan 2010-12-19 06:09:17 UTC
After getting a flood flag on simple wikipedia my changes still appeared in the recent changes feed. I used autowikibrowser version 5.2 to make edits with my alternate account morgankevinj AWB.

does AWB use the api? You can use the api to make edits not be bot edits, even if you have bot (Flood) flag. (in which case that would make this an AWB bug).
Comment 4 Sam Reed (reedy) 2010-12-31 06:25:01 UTC
AWB has the infrastructure to support this, and as long as someone is in the bot group, or has the userright 'bot'
Comment 5 Sam Reed (reedy) 2010-12-31 06:26:35 UTC
AWB only polls for userinfo at user login

So, it seems the user got the right AFTER logging in, AWB would be non the wiser

Not a bug in AWB (what's the point of repeatedly polling for and parsing user info?) or in MW
