There is no reason from a UI point of view to require another click on a button to make the upload start. Uploading should start right after the file was dropped.
I agree with this 100%. In our design, we had a paradigm of batching files but it's actually counterproductive, and leads to another interface complexity of having to decide what to do if one or more of them failed. Batching only makes sense if there's anything you can do "preflight" like set the license or description or title. The way we have it here, there's not much of a point. However, we're keeping it this way for the first beta since we'd have to tear too much apart to fix it.
This wasn't meant as a statement in favour or against batching. It is just that uploading should start, I don't give a recommendation in this bug for other UI changes.

I think we agree but are just using different terminology. I'm in favor of instantly starting the upload, rather than waiting until you hit the "upload everything" button.
