Description TeleComNasSprVen 2010-11-29 06:27:58 UTC
Could you please have the SUL connect to the prototype wikis in the url links above (i.e. have them in VasilievVV's sulutil, a [[prototype:]] interwiki prefix setup, and a mention in [[Special:SiteMatrix]])?
Comment 1 Chad H. 2010-11-29 06:47:02 UTC
They are supposed to be independent wikis and are not a part of the cluster by design. It would be near impossible to add them to SiteMatrix. I'm not sure if SUL would be feasible either, or if it'd be worth the effort.

Adding a generic [[prototype:]] interwiki prefix does seem useful though, and can be done on Meta.
Comment 3 Chad H. 2010-11-29 07:07:49 UTC
[[prototype:en.wikipedia.org/Main_Page]] should work, but it's hardly shorter.

SUL is not feasible, because the prototype wikis would need to access the shared centralauth database, which lives on the main cluster. It's not impossible to make this work, but because the prototype wikis run different code than is run on the cluster and because we're deliberately separating them from the cluster so we can run crazy stuff on them, it's undesirable.
