Description Tomasz Finc 2010-10-19 06:02:27 UTC
Per request of Erik Zachte lets add dumps of the central auth database. Since central auth is its own database the xml snapshots code will need to have a way of knowing to ignore all the regular public/private wiki's and instead dump the specifically mentioned tables.

Perhaps each type of dump could have a template for what gets dumped.

One for the regular set of tables and another for specific databases. We already somewhat do this with FlaggedRevs and isBig wikis.
Comment 1 Tomasz Finc 2010-10-19 06:03:23 UTC
Quick note. Any central auth sql dumps should be placed into the private space.
Comment 2 Erik Zachte 2010-10-21 17:05:24 UTC
Although some day xml format would be ideal, being more decoupled from database changes, for now a MySQL export will be fine (like happens for some other tables, the one stored as ..sql.gz). I will do the parsing myself. Thanks
Comment 3 Ariel T. Glenn 2011-09-18 08:37:10 UTC
These run every week by cron and are written to private/centralauth as sql.gz files. Closing.
