Description Florian Effenberger 2010-09-25 20:37:09 UTC
My wiki has English locale, but when I login with my personal account which has German locale, the confirmation e-mails to new users is German as well.

Something probably should be using wfMsgContent...

wfMsgForContent that is
Comment 3 Aaron Schulz 2010-09-25 20:57:27 UTC
Fixed in r73761
Comment 4 Florian Effenberger 2010-09-26 11:46:45 UTC
Wow, that was quick - thanks a lot! It still seems to be a bit inconsistent:

* The e-mails are in the language the user has chosen when opening the wiki (LanguageSelector plugin), but the e-mail with the confirmation (user+password) is always in English. If possible, this should also be in the chosen language.

* However, that's not that annoying. ;) What strikes more is that the e-mail for the admins/bureaucrats is always in the language of the user, e.g. Dutch for a user using a Dutch client.
Comment 5 Aaron Schulz 2010-09-26 21:11:38 UTC
The confirmation is in the content language, set by a MW core variable, LanguageSelector may not control this.

I'm not sure what the second item is about though.
Comment 6 Florian Effenberger 2010-09-27 10:14:59 UTC
#2 is about: When I receive e-mail notification from someone wanting to have an account, the notification to me is always in HIS language, not in mine.

This should be changed to use the content language.

I don't plan to support that plugin for anon users at this time :/

The other things should be done now.
