Description andrewpmk 2005-06-22 17:38:37 UTC
When I upload a large transparent PNG to Wikipedia, the image on the image page
is full-sized, not smaller. When I upload similar opaque PNG or JPEG, the
thumbmail mechanism on the image page works correctly. This does not affect the
thumbmails on *article* pages.

From fix of bug 1218?

Maybe. However, this occurs even when the thumbnail should be 5 or so times
smaller than the original. It only occurs with transparent PNGs (those with an
alpha channel).

Specific example, please?

The image given as an example seems fine now:

It got fixed somehow.
