There's an active mailing list for the Sakha Wikipedia ( http://sah.wikipedia.org ) . It is written mostly in Russian and Sakha. It works through the Russian commercial website http://subscribe.ru/ .

This is a request to create a new list for the Sakha Wikipedia on the Wikimedia server.

Requested name of the mailing list: WikiSah-l

Reasoning/explanation of purpose (and community consensus, if applicable): A poll on the mailing list itself (see below) showed that the members support creating a new list on the Wikimedia server, because subscribe.ru doesn't support Unicode (which is important for Sakha) and has other technical problems. It would be nice if it's possible, but not necessary.

As per <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mailing_lists/Standardization#Wikipedias>, I'd like to create this list as Wikipedia-sah.  We anticipate all Wikipedia mailing lists will be in this format from now on.
