[[Special:Search]] (especially advanced search) has many options and help would be useful to provide to users. There isn't a good place on the current interface to add help and guidance or links. can we have an interface message before the search box, where such text can be added? Thanks.

Try [[MediaWiki:Search-summary]] for text before the search box.
