Hi, Long Time as compared to other bugs NO reaction on Bug 24433 bug.I think it may be implemented as we are requesting for creation of new protection level "confirmed user & sysopp in hindi wiki" instead of giving protection page editing access to Confirmed User.But if it is not possible then Make a new user group "Editprotected" and to grant admind to add and remove these groups.We are grateful to bugzilla for implementing some new features in hindi wiki.But this bug is also Important for us to be resolved as soon as possible.So that we can make Our main article pages to this new protection level rather than "sysopp" only.And our good and experienced User may edit these pages.Our commnity hopes is bound to bugzilla and we hope this bug will be resolved as soon as possible.Community consensus is At our village pump link-http://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%A4%B5%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%AA%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%A1%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%AF%E0%A4%BE:%E0%A4%9A%E0%A5%8C%E0%A4%AA%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%B2#Enable_protected_page_editing_acess_to_confirmed_user_or_enable_user_group_.22editprotected.22_and_grant_admins_to_add.2Fremove_this_group Thank you And sorry for inconvenience With Regards Mayur kumar
Please decide on one of these two solutions rather than requesting both and leaving it up to a sysadmin to arbitrarily decide which one to enable.

Please stop creating bugs under the incorrect product/component combos, Site Requests go under "Wikimedia" then into the "Site Requests" component.

Since the editprotected solution (this bug) is cleaner and easier to implement than adding a new restriction type (bug 2433) I prefer this one and will close the other one as WONTFIX.

Hi, there is complain about editprotected group on hindi wiki that they are not able to edit pagess that are linked to any protected page(cascading protection) like for example see http://hi.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%E0%A4%B8%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%81%E0%A4%9A%E0%A4%BE:User_India&action=edit. please enable editprotected group to edit pages

The user need the protect right, because a edit to a cascade protected page result into a protection of other pages, that not allow. If you need a user right for that, please fill in a new bug under MediaWiki -> page protection. But see first bug 14358. Reresolved this as fixed.
As per your suggestion i have filed a new Bug 24934 for cascade pages editing but Grant only bureucrats to add/remove this group not admins.So i am giving this request under this bug. Regards
