Description Max Semenik 2010-07-15 09:26:28 UTC
This applies only to bug view, during new bug creation it works. Checked in Opera, FF, Chrome and IE8. Some folks on IRC also experience it, while others don't. Last time I remember it to work was old, Monobook-styled BZ.

Funny, I don't ever remember that working. I seem to remember always having to select product and then after submission pick the new component on a 2nd page.
Comment 2 Krinkle 2011-03-20 00:07:28 UTC
When changing the product of an existing bug, the component choise is given after submitting the form in an in-between page. This is not a bug, although enhancing it like with "new bug" would be nice.

Bugmeister is the new Bugzilla maintainer and default assignee.

WONTFIX, this is a upstream issue and from what I have experienced is how its meant to react in 4.0 (and older versions), unless someone wants to patch it locally.
