Steps to reproduce: 1) Go to an existing ticket, say <https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom&TicketID=3453510> 2) Copy a word from this ticket, say "Höhlengleichnis" 3) Open the search interface <https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketSearch> 4) Paste the word into the textbox labeled "text" 5) Click "Search" This should turn up at least the ticket from which the word was copied. However, it often does not. Note that the bug does not seem to be always reproducable, so it might be necessary to try with different words.
I'm guessing this might be an upstream bug...
Maybe related to this warning, I saw on #wikimedia-tech today: [15:41] PROBLEM - LongQueries on db9 is CRITICAL: LONGQUERIES CRITICAL - TIME: 22 command=Query db=otrs host=williams.wikimedia.org:46547 id=1345230408 state=Copying to tmp table user=otrs [15:42] RECOVERY - LongQueries on db9 is OK: LONGQUERIES OK - No long running queries found (52 threads checked)

So I copied "Schnittmenge zweier Erdteile". > 3) Open the search interface > <https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketSearch> > 4) Paste the word into the textbox labeled "text" I pasted Schnittmenge zweier Erdteile > 5) Click "Search" > This should turn up at least the ticket from which the word was copied. > However, it often does not. In my case it worked, so it would be good to know if this is still reproducible. Patrik: Have you faced issues recently?
(In reply to comment #4) > Patrik: Have you faced issues recently? I have not, no. (The word btw. was in other emails within the ticket.) Patrik
Thanks for the quick feedback! I'm closing this as WORKSFORME for the time being, but please reopen if this happens again.
