Description lampak 2010-06-17 20:19:03 UTC
If there's only one term before a colon in a link ending with |]] it's not displayed:
[[:w:foo|]] -> foo
But if there are more of them only the first one is omitted:
[[:w:pl:foo|]] -> pl:foo

It's an inconvenience on Wikimedia Commons mostly, where image descriptions link to articles on Wikipedias. When linking to en.wiki you may use this abbreviation, but to any other wiki - you need to copy-paste the whole title.

So, obviously, my proposal is to make link like
[[:a:b:c:foo|]]
in displaying:
foo

What if they linked with [[w:Superman IV: The Quest for Peace]] ?
