Empty screen without the image

Hello,
while I'm uploading a image file with umlauts (e.g. ö, ä, ü) the file will be created in the database but will not be uploaded. It shows me an empty screen (file attached) and when I want to see the file my server says that the file was not found.

I think this bug only occures in the german language.

Hello again,
we just found out that the file was uploaded but when our file has the name "Übung.jpg" the server saves this under the name "Ãœbung.jpg".

A good description of what happens is at http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/httpd-users/200907.mbox/%3C4A4B6BB8.1010207@seznam.cz%3E

See also bug 1780, which discusses the same problem.

Don't know if that can be solved by some "locale" settings, setting the locale for either php or the web server (or both?) to some UTF8 locale.

This is caused by your filesystem or OS, not MediaWiki.
