Description Douglas Gardner 2010-06-11 17:25:31 UTC
When, on enwikinews, I tried typing, for example, Alpha beta, gamma, saving the link transforms the link into Alpha beta, and not Alpha beta gamma.

** STEPS TO REPRODUCE **
1. Edit a page
2. Type a wikilink of any kind
3. Insert a comma somewhere in the link
3. End with "|]]", instead of "]]" or "|Epsilon]]"
4. Save
5. Look at the link you created

** WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED **
The software should only display after the first colon when viewing a page.

** WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED **
The software truncates the second half of the link so that only the part before the comma is saved

** EXAMPLES **
converts to .

Pineapples, sweetcorn & egg fried rice converts to Pineapples.
Comment 1 Bawolff (Brian Wolff) 2010-06-11 17:27:14 UTC
I'm pretty sure this is intentional.
Comment 2 Roan Kattouw 2010-06-11 19:28:01 UTC
Yes, this is intentional. Foo, bar expands to Foo. If, as you say, Foo, bar expands to Foo that would be a bug, but I think that was a typo on your part.
