Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2005-06-11 10:20:12 UTC
Dear friends,

It is still experienced that after saving a page is ssaved
MediaWiki:Noarticletext is shown.
Normaly the content is like
- Page does not exist
- There is currently no text in this page
-
last is a namespace dependend text at de:MediaWiki:Noarticletext emulating
CASE syntax in templates required to do this

It would be suitablte to add somthing like:
"If you have created this page recently click
[SERVER here]." after
"There is currently no text in this page."

BTW such a "purge" link could be inserted as "context sensitive" link in
"Sorry we have a problem. All serversers ... Tray again later ..."
(There should be a bug about getting that more informative).

To see how it works go at eo:, mi: ro:, yi: and use the user
interface in the "content language".

I'm not sure if it still makes sense to do this. Several advances and fixes have
been applied to the caching mechanisms over the past year, and the instances of
users not seeing newly-created pages should be greatly reduced.

Adding a purge link to the message might *still* make sense, however, but we
might want to leave it up to individual communities to advise their users to do
this.
