When I try to go to the special page after all the necessary upgrade, I got this on special pages like: Special:SpecialPages and Special:RecentChanges Fatal error: Class 'SMFormInput' not found in /home/.../transitunlimited.org/extensions/SemanticMaps/Services/GoogleMaps/SM_GoogleMapsFormInput.php on line 18 I think I had the same issue when I tried version 1.5, which was fixed. This time I don't think I can downgrade without messing with the coordinates.

Please try getting a new copy of SM (or wait until the 0.6.1 release which will be tomorrow). Your update or checkout probably went wrong, as I and other cannot replicate such a bug.
I installed the Semantic Forms and the problem went away. I do not intend to use any features of Semantic Forms so I never installed them, and the instruction isn't clear that Semantic Forms is actually one of the dependencies.
I indeed ought to clarify that. You do not need SF, but need to disable the form feature in the Semantic Maps settings file, by commenting out it's inclusion.
