Dear friends,

"localurl" is very powerful.

Nevertheless there is an unsymmetrical handling of underscores in the "parameter
part" of localurl compared to the "main url part".

Spaces get translated to underscores in the "main url part" but *not* in the
"parameter part". This makes thinks complicated and difficult to handle.

I see this as an *enhancement* and not as a *change*. If somebody used *spaces*
in the "parameter part" of localurl I would consider this as a *hack* (same as
the one mentioned at http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1160#c2 - bug
1160).

Other bugs to be mentioned here because of similar style / issue "simplification":
bug 2329: Some special pages show underscores in article titles

Underscores would not be generically correct in parameters.
