Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Peter Petronello 2010-05-11 19:42:27 UTC
"js/crasher" is alerting McAfee VSE 8.7i when the "crasher squirrel" wiki page is loaded in MSIE. The VSE attempts to delete the js/crasher, but the delete fails. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crasher_Squirrel)

Sounds like a bug in mcafee being to overzealous looking for evil js, since there is no evil js in that page.
Comment 2 Max Semenik 2010-06-13 13:39:56 UTC
Not a bug in MediaWiki, just an overzealous antivirus. If the problem persists with up-to-date virus defnitions, please report to McAfee.
