Currently, the cached versions of Commons image "Lang-pt2.gif" are not animated at least at the resolutions of 35px, 100px and 120px. If I use other uncommon res (such as 119px) then it's animated. You can see it's become a still image in the main page of the Portuguese Wiktionary ( http://pt.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikcion%C3%A1rio:P%C3%A1gina_principal ) and this template http://pt.wiktionary.org/wiki/Predefini%C3%A7%C3%A3o:-pt- . I believe only devs can force a cache purge of these iamges so I'm requesting it here. Thanks.
This is becoming widespread. Several images being reported on eswiki's village pump. Another example: first image from http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilusi%C3%B3n_%C3%B3ptica purging the page and/or reloading everythng didn't help
As the original submitter, I haven't seen any other occurrence of this problem for a long time.

Experiencing this again with https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Tuned_mass_damper.gif/200px-Tuned_mass_damper.gif . With other resolutions, it works so must be a cache issue.
(In reply to comment #4) > Experiencing this again with > https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Tuned_mass_damper. > gif/200px-Tuned_mass_damper.gif I followed the steps at the bottom of bug 41130 comment 86 and it is animated now (after [[WP:BYPASS]]). For future reference, a new separate bug report is welcome instead of reopening tickets that got fixed more than a year ago. Thanks! :)
