In order to facilitate improvements to emitted microformats, it would be useful to be able to add rel and class attributes to internal (including File:) and external links - neither of which is possible at the moment.

This will also allow, say, Wikipedia navboxes to have links with rel="next" and rel="prev".

Since the bug 33886 is about <a> tags, this one seems to be just about "internal" [[links]] (or is it just a duplicate of that?)
