Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Manish 2010-03-23 05:45:24 UTC
see [[w:Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#.22This_user_is_currently_blocked.22_message]].

The proposal is to change the "This user is currently blocked" message at [[MediaWiki:Sp-contributions-blocked-notice]], so that it shows "IP" address when the user is an IP, and "account" when it is an account. At enwiki, a temporary fix has been put into place, changing "user" to "account or IP address".
This change should go to all wikis.
Maybe two mediawiki pages can be made, each with a different text. Or parese functions can be used (see the village pump entry for the parser function)
