Description Krinkle 2010-03-14 17:58:49 UTC
Please enable patrolled edits for Commons ($wgUseRCPatrol ?)

See also http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:Village_pump&oldid=36466012#Marking_edits_as_patrolled

Previously it was enabled for NewPages but it never got it RC apparently. Hereby !

I'm not sure how the rights are set as it's been a long time or never since this was enabled, but it should for now take the same settings as for NewPages-patrolling (ie. anyone with the patroller or 'higher' usergroup should be able to [mark as patrolled] and be able to filter on/off patrolled edits in the RecentChanges-list) - but I think this is already set.

Thank you,
Krinkle

Yes, this needs $wgUseRCPatrol = true;

You're right, all this is already set up.

Done

Hi Rob,

It works great, partially.
The edits by users in the autopatrol-group (including sysops) are not automaticly marked as patrolled.
Though they do have the autopatrol-permission according: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListGroupRights

New pages, I think, are marked as patrolled but the regular edits aren't.

At http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/patrol I see multiple revisions of the same page getting autopatrolled, so it doesn't seem to be completely broken. I resynced the configuration; please close this bug if the issue has gone away.

OK.
Judging by this:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=User%3AKrinkle%2FTestcase&hide_patrol_log=0
I think it's fixed now.

Thanks :)

Something else:

After a short IRC conversion (I wasn't sure myself) I concluded that when a rollbacker (that has patroller rights) rollsback an edit (an unpatrolled one), then the rollback-action should mark that edit as patrolled.

I suspected a bug on Commons, and tried again several times to confirm.
An unpatrolled edit made by an IP-user, which I rolledback, stays unpatrolled.

Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Hello,

please don't reuse tickets for "something else". This makes tickets long and hard to follow. Your last request is no enhancement any more, nor is it a site request.
