Description Brian LaMere 2010-03-09 18:38:37 UTC
Greetings. I have a mediawiki 1.15.1 installation (about a week old) here that uses the OpenID extension. If I use the OpenID extension version for 1.15.x, it tells me "verification failed."

Verification of the OpenID URL failed. Error message: "No OpenID information found at http://mydomainnamehere.com/openid?id=blah

The google apps url I'm using is:

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/site-xrds?hd=mydomainnamehere.com

Note that the system the wiki is running on is not found at "mydomainnamehere" (which has been changed) - I'm not sure why the extension looks for it there instead of wgServer or wgTrustRoot. Are google app openids intended to only be used on a server with the same name domain as the google app domain?

Are you trying to log into the wiki or into another site using wiki as OpenID provider?

I'll probably need more specifics to identify the problem - please post a URL of your site (which I suppose is using delegation to point to Google Apps).

Mass maintainer change.

Brian,

i think your problem is solved with the new version 2.x.

This version is working with new MediaWiki versions - I want to say "master" from git.

Therefore I will close this bug. If you feel the need to reopen, please do this, but there will be no back-ported patches, because the old mediawiki version are no longer supported by the developers, I apologize.

Please upgrade your Mediawiki, and install a lateste OpenID extension, I am pretty sure, it will work then.

Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
