Description mikebutler 2010-02-16 00:36:53 UTC
1. go to http://mobile.wikipedia.org/ from any web browser
2. input any search term and click search
3. notice the error message "wikipedia export error"

For example:
http://mobile.wikipedia.org/transcode.php?go=a

Hopefully this will be fixed soon...

You might be able to use the new m.wikipedia.org in the mean time ?
Comment 2 Derk-Jan Hartman 2010-02-17 17:09:21 UTC
This was caused by search.wikimedia.org, which isn't sending along a User-Agent.

The server has been whitelisted again now, and the search interface of mobile.wikimedia.org is back online.

Repurposing this bug to be about fixing yongle so it does set a User-Agent.
Comment 4 mikebutler 2010-02-19 22:38:36 UTC
The original problem is back again: all searches on http://mobile.wikipedia.org/ return "wikipedia export error"

Temporarily fixed by re-adding yongle to the empty UA exemption list. I'll poke at properly fixing yongle later.

This was fixed ages ago, I forgot there was a bug for it.
