Description Tisza Gergő 2010-02-11 23:07:24 UTC
Sometimes, when I use the link dialog to create internal links, the textbox scrolls to the top when I click on Insert (the cursor stays where it was). I've seen this on FF 3.5/WinXP; I've also heard reports of scrolling to the bottom in some cases.

One way to reproduce this: select two words separated by the line break, open the link dialog, and turn them into an internal link. There are more realistic scenarios when this bug appears, but I have no idea what the conditions are in those cases.

Also, the newline turns into two spaces when the selected text is copied into the text field of the dialog. I don't know if this is a feature or a byproduct of the bug; removing the newline is a good idea as it would break formatting, but it should turn into a single newline. (I have [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines Editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines] at the default setting, so that would be the browser default behavior too.)

This can happen with any other function that changes the text (such as bolding), and it happens a lot. There seems to be a pattern to it (selecting some words reliably produces it, while others reliably don't), but I have no idea what it is, except for including newlines, which always works.

Adam, can you try reproducing this in the textarea?
Comment 3 Adam Miller 2010-07-13 16:38:39 UTC
I am not able to replicate this. I'm assuming it's been fixed in the meantime.
