Even though a username/password is not used and is in fact unnecessary for utilizing SQLite as the backend database, you have to provide a username/password for the installation script to complete.

Has been fixed for version 1.16alpha; exists in 1.15.1

Not fixed for version 1.15.1, only fixed in 1.16alpha

Yes, it's been fixed in trunk, it wont be fixed in 1.15.1 as it's a released version. If it would even get backported, it would show up in the next 1.15 release (ie: 1.15.2).
