Hi. It would be nice to have some kind of filters on [[Especial:Recentchanges]]. This was probably already suggested. Here goes my sugestion. There could be filters based on categories. Any user in a particular subject (category) would be monitoring changes on articles inside *that* category. Of course, non-categorized articles would pass another filter, or (optionally) be ignored at all (when strict filtering for categories). From the top of my head, seems trivial to find parents for categories of an article... what do you think?
The "Category:" pages already have a link called "Related pages" in English, that uses Especial:Recentchangeslinked . Is that good enough?

Hey, that's nice :) Consider that example, but merging recentchangeslinked of child-categories. Well, it would probably cause much overhead (depending of the ramification). So, at least, there could be an option to support more than one "recentchangeslinked". Suppose you want to monitor, in the same page, "Category:Spanish writers" and "Category:English writers" and "Category:French writers". If you were monitoring "Category:Writers" (recursively) it would work, but at this time you will need 3 different pages.
I think we can place the categories in a separate article, and use Recentchangeslinked on that page... I hope :)
