Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

The enhancement to Special:Checkuser to allow blocking from the returned results page done in 12808 (https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12808) is hugely useful, for prolific sockmasters it saves a great deal of time and it's generally awesome. However I have two enhancement requests which I will enter as separate bugzilla entries. The first one was opened as 22119 (https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22119)

The second request is that often, there are standard block message templates that are in use (this varies by wiki) or standard block reasons in use (this also varies by wiki) all of which it would be convenient to present in a dropdown list. The list of templates could be a new special:messages entry (analogous to how, for example, the list of valid licenses is presented on the upload page, or the list of block reasons is presented on the block page)

For best results, since the templates often take parameters, after the selection is made, the template should then be editable so parameters can be included or additional text added or whatever, as now.

This dropdown enhancement request applies to all three of the fields

The first two would be new messages but the reason dropdown could perhaps be taken from the current block reason list. I think that is the system message "ipbreason-dropdown" The way that behaves on the block page where you select it from the dropdown and it then populates an editable field is the desired behaviour here for all three fields.
