Since the page http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Support is not a normal talk page any more, the "minor edit" selector is gone away, and it is not possible any more, to make minor additions to the page.
This is deliberate.
It is bewildering and disturbing for users, when software acts differently in identical situations. Since there is no need to do so, this is a deliberate drawback of usability.
I think users will survive without a minor edit checkbox. I don't think that this is a situation where that is "bewildering and disturbing".
Now that bug 24819 is fixed, edits are actively marked as minor.
