Instead of paging LiquidThreads pages (or as a backup for it), we should use infinite scrolling. It feels much smoother and nicer.

How will this work on pages with a lot of threads (e.g. WP's village pump)? If it just keeps loading threads as you scroll, the page will eventually become so big it'll be impossible to navigate and it'll eat up all your RAM (especially a problem on mobile devices).
