Someone suggested having the "puzzle globe" page as the first step in the Wikipedia Mobile App - this would allow multiple languages more easily, perhaps?

IMO just starting with the UI language configured on the device would be fine. :) It should though be clear and easy how to switch languages once you're in.

Currently, the device's default requested language is the automatic
redirect to skip the need for the "puzzle globe" stage. If your phone
is configured for French, then it will load fr.m.*
