Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2005-05-10 11:18:23 UTC
Halló,

A new special page [[Special:Magicwords]] should allow to see / verify / monitor
the content of $wgMagicWordsXy in Language.php in
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Specialpages.

With the parameter "/<language code>" ( example: [[Special:Magicwords/fi]] ) the
page should allow to see / verify / monitor the content of $wgMagicWordsXy in
the LanguageXy.php file.

There are some items one should think in long term:
- support of $wgMagicWordsXy in the EDITOR / PREVIEW of wiki with language code
foo if Xy is selected as language interface;
- pages should be stored with generic values respectivly with values from
$wgMagicWordsXy that "match": if more values for the same magic word are allowed
preserve the one that was used before, used during editing;
- - example of list for $wgMagicWords – MAG_REDIRECT:
[[commons:User:Gangleri/sandbox/REDIRECT]]
- - - [[bg:]] is using #redirect, #пренасочване, #виж – see [[meta:LanguageBg.php]]

----

Please let me know if there is a posibility to see / verify / monitor the
content of the COMPLETE LanguageXy.php files.

It should be considered to eigther integrate it in the existing
[[Special:Allmessages]] page or to create a new one.

In both cases there sould be a posibility to see / verify / monitor the content
of the COMPLETE LanguageXy.php files (not only MediaWiki messages and "magic
words"). The selection should be possible by changing a parameter and not beeing
forced to switch to another interface. See above.

A special page does not make good documentation; to see the magic words defined in each language file, just look at the files.
